Jordan Lee Gilbert

Jordan Gilbert, a native of New Jersey, recently graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a degree in classical vocal performance, earning the prestigious President's Scholarship and the Provost’s Award for Academic Excellence.

Recently, Jordan was named a finalist in the Orpheus Vocal Competition and was awarded the Verdi Award for her performance. Jordan was also awarded first place in the Young Artist Division for Coeur d'Alene Symphony Orchestra's National Vocal Competition, and sang with the orchestra in their celebration concert in March 2024. Miss Gilbert was awarded Second Place in the Alexander and Buono International Vocal Competition, and was named a semi-finalist in Opera Mississippi's John Alexander National Vocal Competition. Her highlights include Susanna in "Le nozze di Figaro" and Zerlina in "Don Giovanni" at the Estates Theater in Prague, where she was also named a Prague National Theater Artist in 2023 and 2024. Jordan has also performed in roles such as Drusilla in "L'Incoronazione di Poppea" at Manhattan School of Music and Barbarina in "Le Nozze di Figaro" at the Castleton Festival in partnership with Classical Movements. â€‹

Jordan has performed as a Soprano soloist in Bach's "Magnificat" at the Co-Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Brooklyn, and has sung in scenes portraying Bystrouška(PÅ™íhody lišky Bystroušky) and  (KateÅ™ina (Legenda o KateÅ™ina z Redernu) at the Divadlo Oskara Nedbala Tábor, Giulietta (I Capuleti e I Montecchi), Ilia (Idomeneo), Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Servilia (La clemenza di Tito), and Cherubin (Cherubin).

Jordan has also attended programs like Classic Lyric Arts Italy, and Classical Singing in New York. She has sung in masterclasses for Daniel Belcher, Margo Garret, Marianne Barrett, Brian Zeger, and Nicolò Sbuelz. She studies under Edith Bers.

​

As for her entrepreneurial efforts, Miss Gilbert co-founded a production company and now holds the title "Co-Executive" of Ophelia Productions. This company focuses on small, intimate, and original productions in historic and immersive venues to create new and accessible classical music performances. In addition to performing, Jordan will also make her directorial debut in Ophelia Production's Opus 1 "Pay No Heed" this October in the historic Newport, RI.
